PACKAGED ITINERARY

Day 1 Arrival
We arrive at our hotel in time for dinner.

Day 2 Lakeland Motor Museum & Fleetwood Museum
Today we will have a walk down memory lane as we start our day at the Lakeland Motor Museum. This museum isn’t just about cars, it also presents the fascinating local history with key displays. Enjoy some lunch (not included) in the riverside Café Ambio before we make our way south to Fleetwood Museum. The museum exists to collect, preserve, interpret and share the rich history of Fleetwood from the 1830’s right up to the present day. The museum began in the early 1970s. Exhibitions include ‘The Story of Fisherman’s Friend’, the Fleetwood company known all over the world for making the famous Fisherman’s Friend throat lozenges!

Day 3 Lytham Hall
This morning, we travel to Lytham Hall, an 18th Century Grade I listed Georgian Manor House. Here we receive a 1 hour guided tour that will provide us with an insight into the history of the colourful Clifton family, who were accused of conspiracy during the Lancashire plot to restore James II to the English throne. We walk through rooms adorned with hand painted wallpaper, glittering chandeliers and Clifton-crested china and glass – try to imagine when the Jacobean Long Gallery was transformed into a hospital ward during World War II - before enjoying a delicious afternoon tea in the Tea Room. We then have time to explore the 78 acres of historic parkland at our leisure.

Day 4 Departure
After breakfast, we make our way home.
