Clare says…
I was really impressed with the Holiday Inn Bolton Centre when I visited. Staff were superb, excellent, solid hotel and the bonus is that you can walk into central Bolton which has a lovely shopping centre.
PACKAGED ITINERARY

Day 1 Arrival
We arrive at our hotel in time for dinner.

Day 2 Manchester Airport Runway Visitor Park & Dunham Massey
This morning we make our way to Manchester Airport Runway Visitor Park where we enjoy the Concorde Classic Tour. We board the Concorde and learn about some of the unique features and famous passengers that made the Concorde so special. There are steps involved in order to get on board Concorde. This afternoon we visit Dunham Massey, a courtly Elizabethan mansion with French style formal gardens. The house has a rich history and the gardens offer a haven complete with roaming fallow deer.

Day 3 Bolton & Fish ‘n Chip Dance & Singalong
This morning we have at time at leisure at our hotel to make the most of the facilities, or if staying at the Holiday Inn, we have the chance to enjoy a gentle stroll around Bolton town centre taking in the shops and perhaps market, depending on day. We have a special treat for lunch today as we visit the Olympus Fish & Chip Restaurant where we have a traditional fish ‘n chip lunch followed by an afternoon of entertainment, dancing and sing-a-long. As if that wasn’t enough, after the entertainment we enjoy some homemade scones, cream & jam.

Day 4 West Lancashire Light Railway & Kittywake Canal Cruise
Today we start by visiting the West Lancashire Light Railway Museum, a narrow gauge steam railway where we have time to admire the large collection of industrial locomotives. At lunchtime, we head to famous Wigan Pier where we board our Kittywake Boat for a 2 hour canal cruise with afternoon tea, so we can sit back in the comfort of our heated cabin to watch the ever changing scenery as we pass through areas key to the Industrial Revolution. We also have the unique experience of cruising through a working lock. Our boat has a fully stocked bar, so we can wash our meal down with a choice of drinks (not included). NB, West Lancashire Light Railway visit is based on exclusive group booking & strictly subject to attraction availability.

Day 5 Departure
After breakfast, we make our way home.
